ABOUT
Who I am
Hi, my name is HUANG Xin (黄鑫).
I 'm currently a Doctoral Researcher in Department of Applied Physics, Aalto University, Finland.
I 'm focusing on using 2D heterostructure tech to render various quantum phases, and studying them with scanning tunneling microscopy (STM). Our cooking ingredients are mostly transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs).
I 've assembled an MBE set-up; you can take a look at my blog on how to do that .
Check out my recent research preview at Preprint_module .
Feel free to read my CV and full publication list . Now I 'm tight-binding to condensed matter physics, yet I've researched in materials science like polymer composite before.
Even though I am not a digital nomad, I 've worked in all 4 hemispheres of Earth.

About this website
This is an indie project.
So yes, I designed my website and wrote almost all htmls using Astro.
If I weren't doing research, then I might have become a graphic designer or an architect. Yet somehow I am also realizing these dreams, at micro——i.e. research artificial designer quantum matter and constructing atomic-scale architectures.
